1) In the courtroom for the double murder trial the prosecutor asked a lot of question to the man on the stand. The man on the stand was there that day we worked with the evidence team. The prosecutor was repeating a lot of question to make sure he was telling it right. The whole room seemed really tense when the stared the slid show of the victims.
2) This was a criminal crime
3)Felony
4) The accused race was Caucasian
5)Control Theory because the accused has an absence of morals and doesn't believe that someone has control over them.
Jail
1)The jail system is just a holding place until they accused has a trial date then the go to prison. You first get searched then asked if you have any problem, photo, new uniform, and then your cell.
2) The majority of the people here were of the Hispanic and Caucasian race
3)Rehabilitation because they are trying to help them and show that you don't want to end up here but most of them come back.
4)Differential Association because most of the people in jail are not first timers
5) Jail is a better way to prevent deviance in society
6) When we passed by were in inmates were in gym it was really intimidating and scary. The cells looked super small and it felt like we were at a zoo watching them. I felt bad because I saw a lot of young people there. Its horrible.

Senior Pranks
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was talking to my sisters friend about Senior Pranks. As a student we look forward to see what the Senior are going to do at the end of the year. One year they glued the door another they had skateboards in the hall way. But the people who did these pranks didn't walk at graduation because they were being deviant. They went against what the deans said and did there prank anyway. But when you do a Senior prank every year when that Senior class goes why do the deans freak out about it so much. They know its going to happen. But when these kids are being deviant or not doing what society wants them to do is it all ways a bad thing? Because Senior pranks can be fun till the point when someone get hurt. So should we still keep this tradition going?

Jail time
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was watching the movie Shawshank Redemption. Once you come to prison you must learn new rules. In this movie and guy named Andy had to learn how to live in prison and what to do and who to talk to. You might have to suck up to people to get your way. But in prison you have to be told when to eat, what to wear, when to go outside, and when to sleep. Resocialization is a key part in living in prison. You have to get used to the fact that your their and these people with you, might not like you. You have to learn their rules. And you have to conform to that new life.

Gender Roles
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was looking at the Toys R Us catalog. I know what is a teenager doing looking at that. Well I just like thinking back to the "good old days" The days of fun and they days of freedom. But as I was looking at the boy part and the girl part of the book it kinda made me mad.Boys had lawn mowers while girls had shopping carts. Girls had kitchens while boys had grills. Why does the world want to keep these gender roles so badly. Men and Women and not just to different groups we can do the same thing and we can even act the same way. Who cares. We should all just stop showing are kids at a young age that they should act like this. We have all moved on to something better.
Chiness Mother
She is so messing up her kids. When I was reading this I couldnt tell if people really do this. Because this is to much. She is messing up her kids by showing them they can't be alone. They wont learn anything if you keep breathing down there necks about everything in there life.
When you use "helicopter" parenting you make a very bad example for you kids. If they hate that your always around they might not to speak up. And if they don't do that how are they going to stand for what they believe in when they are older. Cooley had the idea of the Looking Glass Self and my these kids see themselves they will only see there parents and not who they truly should be. This is just a very bad idea.

BK trip
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was doing my folkway for class. For my folkway I went with a group of friends to Burger King to the drive in. But we didn't have a car so we took a wagon. We scooted up to the box were you order. And it was just a normal order. He told me to pull up to the first window. So I did and he looked at us and asked "You know your in a wagon right?" We are like yes we know =) We gave him the money and pulled up the the 2nd window for our food. This guy scared me I didn't know if he was going to yell at us or not give us or food. But he just smiled and said have a nice night. And as we scooted of I over heard his mumble to his coworker. He said "Ok did you see that, I don't know if that just happend. What the HECK!!!"

Willy Wonka
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was flipping through the tv and Willy Wonka was on. I was think about how in this newer movie they used his father as a toothpaste man. He put on the caps of the toothpaste bottles. And then he got fired because of the new Technology came in and took his job. This new technology replaced lots of people. But a way for him to get his job back is to lean about that new technology and he could be they guy who fixed it.

Lets get married
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was talking to my friend about weddings. She was telling me that is some parts of Latin America couples who want to get married have to get married in a court room and at a church for there marriage to be legal. This fact is called Culture Relativism. This is just one of the many facts about different cultures and that we might think its wired but its really not to them.
Hippies
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was watching the movie Forrest Gump. Tn this movie when they are in the century 1960 they have a lot of hippies. Hippies don't really listen to what "the man" has to say. This movie really show what they did and how that acted to people. These hippies made there own way of life. And nobody really accepted them. This is called a counterculture.

Who we are
This is who we are. We are fast moving people and we never stop. We want the best and the newest things. We want a good education and a good job that pays well. We all want that dream house to live in. In the back of our minds we know were it is but we don't know how to get there. We all listened to music and all sorts but in America we stuck to Rock and Roll. It was a good had good classic hits. But most of us dream to be famous. We want to have all the fame all that money and all that power. To show the world that I'm better than you. This is what we have become.

Just why??
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was watching my friends play Pokemon at school. I then was thinking oh yeah we all used to play that in the 90's but then it just died off. Why? Why do we love fads? We like something at first then we just get sick of it or even bored of it. At first we think well maybe we could make this into a fashion but at the end of it all it was just a bad idea. In 2010 the new thing was Silly band. The most pointless thing in the world but people wanted more and more of it. I want to know why we do this. I still don't get it. http://www.crazyfads.com/
Toilet Bowl
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was watching TV. This Clorox commercial came on. It started to say all the names we us for the toilet. Then I found out that in Sociology this is called The Sapir Whorf Hypothesis. I don't really know why we have so many names for the toilet. But I do know that we have lots of words that have more than one meaning. We don't think about it as much because were used to saying it. If u went to another country or a different culture just ask how many words do you have for the word Toilet. http://www.adstorical.com/commercial/2788/clorox-toilet-bowl-cleaners-100-years-names/

College
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I went to visit Monmouth college. At college your by your self and your familys far away. You might not have any friends were you are. You meet your new roommate and hope you will become friends. Just trying to fit in around here. You start going to your classes and talk to the kids next to you. After you talk to them they ask you if you would like to go have out at there dorm. And soon enough your in a group at school. Talking to them daily a hanging out. College is one of the most popular places to make new groups of friends. And when your with a group you dont feel so alone away from your family anymore.

Our groups in Choir
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was thinking about choir. Choir is a place where you feel safe. You get along with a lot of people. But when you look at in closer you see that everyone is in there own group. When you look at the Basses outside of choir, there a whole new person. You would never think they would be in choir. We do different things out side of choir. Some of us do football, softball, band, theater you could go on and on. But we are all separated into our parts. Sopranos, Altos Tenners, and Basses. When its time for our concert we become a big group, our choir. We blend so well. We forget about what else we do. We just sing.

Thanks a lot
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking of sociologically when I was taking out the trash. The trash men and women really make our lives easier. If we didn't have them I think our world would be so gross. All our trash would be in the streets stinking up our city and towns. They really have a big part in our society. They move our trash to a landfill and we dot need to think about it anymore. We shouldn't take for granted what they do for us. So u I wanted to say thank you.

Trust your parents
All of a sudden, I found myself thinking sociologically when I was thinking about a month ago. When you where a teenager you never want to listen to your parents. They tell you thats wrong but you go ahead and do it anyways just to tick them off. And if you judged someone and your parnets find out, they always say "try to walk in there shoes and see how it goes."
A month ago at my youth group a man who was homeless came into the church. We all looked at him and in the back of the room you could hear mummbles. I knew that if I said anything out loud and my parents found out I would be dead so I kept my mouth shut. (Which is hard to do) My youth group leader gave him a drink and some extra food from that night. And he stared talking to him, asking him question and trying to find out were he was from. He started to talk to us. And we found that he was really not homeless at all. This was our speeker tonight. He lived on the streets to see how it felt. He really lived in someone elses shoes. Now I undersatand what it means.

Who am I
Hi im Suzanne Molinaro. Im a junior at Wego and im involved in choir, play, and musicals. I'm really shy at first but once you get to know me im super loud and im crazy. I always say whats on my mind. Yes sometimes it can be bad but i believe that people should know the truth in the first place rather that finding out along the way. Im in love with The Beatles and i can't stop listening to my ipod. Music is a big part of my life. Thats how I met my boyfriend over the summer and if you see us were just one big hyper person =) My goal in live right now is to finish High School and go to a very small college in Iowa or Minnesota to become a Social Worker or an Elementary School Teacher. So this is only part of me because if i wrote all about me it would be a book. =)
